१६ (16) मई को लोक सभा चुनाव के नतीजे घोषित किए गए थे और कांग्रेस पार्टी ने सफ़लता प्राप्त की । इस सफ़लता का सारा श्रेय श्रीमति सोनिया गाँधी के सपूत, राहुल गाँधी को दिया गया । सब तरफ इसी बात कि चर्चा थी कि कैसे राहुल ने उत्तर प्रदेश में कांग्रेस को अकेले चुनाव में खड़ा करवाया । रातों-रात राहुल गाँधी एक नए, महान राजनेता के रूप में देखे जाने लगे ।

पर कहीं सब भूल गए थे कि यह वही राहुल गाँधी है जिन्होंने कहा था कि उनके परिवार कि सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि पाकिस्तान का बंटवारा है । यह वही राहुल गाँधी है जिनके ऊपर एक ब्रिटिश मंत्री को दरिद्रता पर्यटन पर ले जाने का आरोप लगा था ।

यकीनन यह कहना सही होगा कि राहुल भी अपने पिता कि तरह दूरदर्शी हैं पर उनकी तरह जल्दबाज़ नहीं । राहुल में वह हर गुण का सही मिश्रण है जो एक सफ़ल राजनेता में होने चाहिए । पर इस सबके बावजूद उन्हें कांग्रेस कि जीत का श्रेय देना गलत होगा । हम वह पल भूल रहे हैं, जब १९९८ (1998) में Edvige Antonia Albina Maino, उर्फ़ सोनिया गाँधी ने कांग्रेस में प्रवेश किया । उस समय और उसके काफी समय बाद भी उन्हें भारतीय मूल का न होने की फटकार सहनी पड़ी । पर इस औरत ने हार नहीं मानी । एक ऐसा समय था जब वह हिंदी बोलने में लड़खड़ाती थी और एक आज का समय है जब वह साड़ी पहनकर घूमती है और किसी से कम भारतीय नहीं लगती ।

जिस खूबी से सोनिया गाँधी ने अपने आप को भारतीय रंग में ढाला है और अपने आप को हर विवाद से दूर कर दिया है, उसकी दाद देनी होगी । चुप-चाप वह यू.पी.ए. की प्रमुख बन चुकी हैं और देश की प्रधान मंत्री या राष्ट्रपति न होने के बावजूद, देश को अपनी मुट्ठी में कर चुकी हैं । यही उनका ब्रह्मास्त्र है । अब हमें उनके विदेशी मूल कि होने की चर्चा शायद ही सुनने को मिलती है क्यूंकि उन्होंने यह दिखाना ही छोड़ दिया है कि वह देश पर राज करना चाहती है । अगर अब वह विदेशी भी हैं तो उससे किसी को क्या फर्क ?

दूसरी चाल जो सोनिया गाँधी ने चल दी है वह यह है कि राहुल गाँधी को पूरे जोर-शोर से एक काबिल और सफ़ल नेता दिखने का कम कर चुकी हैं । राहुल राजीव का पुत्र है इसलिए वह पूरा भारतीय है । अगर राहुल गाँधी प्रधान मंत्री पद के लिए भी खड़े होते हैं तो कोई भी उन्हे विदेशी नहीं कह सकता । वह मेरी तरह भारत के हे नागरिक हैं ।

इसलिए मेरा सोचना यह है कि पूरा देश राहुल गाँधी कि जय-जयकार कर रहा है; और यही सोनिया गाँधी चाहती थी । कांग्रेस कि सफ़लता कि असली वास्तुकार तो वह हैं । हर बारी कि तरह विवाद से बचने के लिए नाम राहुल का लिया जा रहा है । मैं इस बात पर तो शायद ही कोई टिपण्णी दे सकूँ कि राहुल गाँधी कितने योग्य नेता हैं । पर अगर वह थोड़े भी अपनी माँ कि तरह हैं, तो उनका सफ़ल होना निश्चित है ।

Ever since the Mumbai terror attacks happened, I’ve been hearing only lame excuses from anyone and everyone across the border. Constant denials, accusations that the terrorists were hindus and outrageous comments by the Pakistani media. There was not a single moment when I felt that we should not bomb their asses off the face of this planet. I wanted revenge, like the majority of my fellow Indians.

I wanted Manmohan Singh to address the nation and assure us that he would “smoke them out of their holes“, just like G.W. Bush had after 9/11. Instead, all I got to see was a robotic and dispassionate speech. I even went to the extent of asking my sister if the whole thing was animated; it seemed so still and choreographed! Below you can see what I am talking about :

It angered me even more when our ministers kept ruling out the possibility of any millitary action to kill the bastards who dare to perform such ghastly acts of terror. The comments from the citizens of Pakistan only fueled the fire within me.

It was only on the 19th of December, that I read about remarks which Nawaz Sharif had made publicly acknowledging the fact that the captured terrorist is indeed a Pakistani.

Today again, while taking a break from studying, I came across two intelligently written articles by some Pakistani nationals :

• When will we act in defence of Pakistan?
• Zardari heading a turbulent country

The second article seems to have been taken down entirely and at the moment is available only through the cached pages stored on the Google servers.

To read comments from across the border that describe the situation the way it is, is a relief. It infuses positivity in me. I respect these people.

But it still cannot take the anger away. I admit that it was a huge intelligence and security failure on our part but that does not give the right to Pakistan, its army, the ISI and the terrorists that they harbour to kill us. If the Pakistani government says that a millitary strike is what the terrorists want, then so be it! I want them dead; I want them butchered; I want them to stop. If Pakistan cannot stand up and accept the fact that it guides and feeds these jihadi bastards, then it must face the music. International isolation or pressure will bear no results. I believe in what Bhagat Singh said – “behron ko baat sunane ke liye dhamake ki zarurat hoti hai (If the deaf are to hear, the sound has to be very loud) “!!

This is certainly hilarious. People like L.K. Advani sure know how to make a fool out of themselves. I fail to understand that why, whatever they do is not their own decision but directly as a consequence of others’ actions?

Now, L.K. Advani does not have the balls or maybe his false ego just hurts too much if he would admit that he is emlating the U.S.A. President Elect, Barack Obama. “Advaniji”, as the B.J.P. asslickers address him, was gifted a website for campaigning on his 81st birthday. This is a result of the successful online campaign that Obama had launched for himself which eventually saw him getting elected to office.

And… OH-MY-FUCKING-GOD!? 81st birthday? Die already, dude!! Strange are the ways of nature. People like Advani who love enticing violence throughout the country are the people who have the longest lives. “Advanji”, there is still time. At this juncture of your life, go for religious or spiritual excursion to wash your sins. Since I’m pretty sure you are computer illiterate, what use is a website? A better gift would have been a forced retirement for the douchebag.

I find it rather amusing or should I say disturbing, that the Supreme Court of India, intervened an overturned an order of a Delhi HC Tribunal and placed a ban on The Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Mind you, I am no supporter of SIMI and do not condone their activities. According to the recent evidence, they are a bunch of terrorists. But neither am I a supporter of hypocrisy.

If the SIMI can be banned, why cannot the same be done to the Shiv Sena, Bajrang Dal, Vishva Hindu Parishad, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and the supporter of all the communal violence in our land, the Bhartiya Janta Party?

Are the people of India so naive? Are they blindfolded? Can’t they see what is happening around them? Why do they fail to realise that they are being “USED” as puppets! I’m talking to you, yes you! The one with a sword in his hand and wading through the Tavi river to cross into Jammu. Do you actually feel the BJP or any of the other parties urging you to risk your life give two fucking hoots about you? They don’t you jackass. Do you think you’ll get a piece of that land once it is transferred to the Amarnath Shrine Board? When you know the answer, why act so anti-social?

Jammu and Kashmir has been burning for the last 2 months – for no reason! The initial protests by the muslim youth were not carried out in support of the people whose land was being transferred (the entire land in question is not forest land). It was also instigated by the pro muslim parties with a lame excuse that the Amarnath board wants to settle Hindus in J & K. Seriously, are you guys retarded or what? To actually buy land in J & K and settle there you have to be a state subject, which the outside Hindus obviously would not have been. What is the fuss all about? And even if they do settle there, what is the fucking harm? Do they pose any threat to you?

In my opinion, there is no difference between the Islamic and the Hindu parties. They are a burdern on the society. They are a bunch of illiterate selfish fools who have an amazing knack of convincing people to murder each other for their cause. They are the real terrorists.

Recently there was a bunch of another assholes who wanted a seperate state of Gorkhaland within India. They caused bandhs and disrupted normalcy in the region. What is it that you guys seek? What will a seperate state give you? Oh I get it! You want reservations etc. etc. ! Did I hit some wrong nerve? OK, you wanna say that the state will give the Gorkhas their identity. Motherfuckers.. are we not all INDIANS.. is it not good enough as an Identity?

Another variety of dickheads that resides in our country is the Gujjars. They fought with the police, torched vehicles, got themselves killed.. for what? Reservation. This shows how dumb you people are. Seriously, if you keep acting this way, you will forever remain a backward caste. That’s because you just don’t want to grow. You choose to die for reservation but you choose not to die for free education.

Shiv Sena and MNS : I can only say that they must be banned. Their activities are against the country, it’s people and the constitution.

Finally, how can I forget our very own warriors, the Sikhs.  You guys choose to clash with the Dera Sacha Sauda followers but have absolutely no interest in improving the situation in your state. The youth of Punjab are either addicts or jobless illiterate fools. But religion is more important to them than even their own well being.

I recently saw an advertisement for a a new political party – Jago Party. It claims to be a party of the people. I went over to their website and read through their objectives. The only reason I have decided to vote for them in any future election is that they are not being run by a family (I’m looking at you Congress) and are not trying to woo the voters on the basis of religion or caste (I’m looking at everybody else here).

Why is it that the people in our country identify themselves with religion and caste and why being Indian is secondary to them? Why is it that we “Indians” will go kill each other on the call of leaders of the Hurriyat or the BJP? Why have we all turned a blind eye towards reality? Why can’t we stop passing the buck? Why can’t we think on our own and follow what the corrupt politicians say? Why is it that all our top politicians are rapists and gangsters? Why is there no sense of belonging, a sense of being an Indian Citizen?

Where is the love, my fellow Indians, where is the love?

Here’s another article about the dimwits that are in power. My last post was about the government in the state of Uttar Pradesh but here’s some news from their worthy rivals residing in Maharashtra.

The Maharashtra government is planning on turning Mumbai into New York. And how eactly do they plan on doing that? Well, they think they can match the world’s busiest city by copying its famous landmark – The Statue of Liberty.

Bravo!! What a plan! I mean, they don’t even need to create an artificial island for it. Just erect the damn thing anywhere in the city. When it rains, it gonna flood, so that aspect of the statue is covered. The statue is going to be of Shivaji, the great Maratha warrior.

With all due respect, what the fuck?! Would Shivaji like to see $4.5 million of the taxpayers’ money go down into a useless statue that serves no purpose besides giving the government some political mileage? Are the people of that state so fuckin’ dumb that nothing besides this “We are Marathas” shit enters their brain? Just when you thought the Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had done enough damage with their crazy regional propaganda, Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh decided to draw his own guns!

They should consider doing such dumb things once they make Mumbai a little more habitable. The Indian government never fails to justify its stupidity. Cheers to them!

Yes, you read right! The results of the Class 10th and 12th examinations were declared recently. Every state government is bragging about how the quality of education has improved under their rule. But why is the chief minister of Utta Pradesh, Ms. Mayawati Naina Kumari so quiet?

You can usually see her on the television, bragging about one thing or the other; how the Dalits have benefited under her or how the crime in the state has reached an all time low. But why isn’t she bragging about the education like all the other chief ministers?

Well, that’s because she has nothing to brag about here!! 20 lakh students, yes 20 lakh students have failed in the class 10th and class 12th examinations held this year. This is quite a number. The state of U.P. now has 20 lakh kids who will not enter college or not even be high school graduates.

The state of U.P. is in a sad state! Someone needs to do something about the situation quickly. There was an anti-copying law that was introduced more than a decade back in the state which saw the pass percentage of the students in the state plummet to the lowest levels. When Mulayam Singh came into power, he abolished the law and the pass percentage increased from somewhere in the mid-thirties to around eighty pecent. But the law was recently passed again which resulted in 20 lakh students failing in the examinations.

These kids will probably do what their other, older siblings are doing – indulge in some anti-social and criminal activities. U.P. is sick and some immediate steps are required to heal it. The politicians in power are useless and corrupt. The people are illiterate and ignorant. The infrastructure is in shambles.

Lets stop dreaming about becoming a super power and focus on issues that matter.

So Saddam Hussein is dead… hanged… executed.

I won’t say I’m happy. OK, the guy was a fuckin’ loser, a tyrant. But the manner in which he was executed, the haste that was shown by the authorities, the date of execution and the manner in which he was executed is definitely questionable.

It was like they were tyring to make a mockery out of his death. But I think that has totally backfired. Who in the right mind would order video filming an execution and then airing it across the whole world? I mean, there are children out there. Some children even imitated the execution and died. And then there was the leaked mobile video shot by someone which clearly shows guards taunting Saddam. Now that is what I call stopping to a whole new level!!

Why the whole drama of the trial? Why try and act fair? Why didn’t America put a bullet to his head in the underground bunker they found him in when everybody knew he was gonna be killed. I am in no way against Saddam’s execution – he got what he deserved. But the way the whole trial was carried out was like everything was going according to some pre-written script. A script that was written by none other than George W Bush. It was not about the weapons. It was about Saddam. It was a battle of egos and was surely not a battle for peace. Since when did battles bring peace anyway!? See, its so stupid and confusing that I’m contradicting myself.

But whatever happened was wrong. America has successfully destroyed two countries only to fulfill their own selfish interests. It was never about the so-called weapons of mass destruction – they never found any. It all seeped down to oil. It all boiled down to an old personal feud. Sick!!

Now all the american companies are entering Iraq and Afghanistan in an effort to rebuild the nations. Yeah right! A nice excuse to bring business home Mr. Bush!!

America has just climbed upto the top of the hitlist of all the terrorist organisations now, I’m sure. And this will not spell trouble for just America but for other countries as well. For example, take India. Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Pakistan.. our next-door neighbours are nothing but hiding places for terrorists. And these ruthless bastards will do nothing but harm India. Why? Because they feel that the whole world is against them. Because the big bully is just not stopping.

Bush and his ass-licking poodle, Tony Blair need to answer a lot of questions. I think its too late for them to make ammends.

They filmed Saddam’s death in an attempt to show the world his end, to show the world that the loser was down and out. But what they didn’t anticipate that this would backfire. Saddam didn’t go down like a tyrant like he should’ve. He died like a hero, a martyr. And now, there are thousands waiting to avenge his death. Thousands waiting to get their hands on a bomb a throw it on America, Britain, India etc. Nice work Georgie. You gave Saddam an advanced birthday gift. You threw him a party, burst crackers and “bombs”… You got him executed. But don’t worry, there are thousands now waiting to give you the “return gift” for attending the party. Just wait and watch.

So Khanna and I were wandering around aimlessly when we landed up at the Bougainvillea Garden in Sector 3, Chandigarh. The park look deserted and both of us were in a senti mood. So we decided to just sit there and let the worries slip away.

But once we got inside, we spotted a number of couples fooling around. One of the couples was doing more than fooling around!!

We kept laughing at them. Just then I spotted a structure. I told Khanna that most probably this was the War Memorial which had been inaugurated by President APJ Abdul Kalam. Khanna went to pee in the huge bamboo trees (or whatever you call them). After he returned, we proceeded towards the structure. It was indeed the Chandigarh War Memorial.

Its been beautifully designed but the surroundings lack care. Even the memorial lacked care. No proper cleaning, no lights, no nothing. Chandigarh Administration needs to wake up. We tried to remember some names from the movie Border but in vain. Finally, we spotted Capt. Vikram Batra’s name. Man… I felt so proud just standing there. Jai Jawan!!
