…Clueless

Lata Mangeshkar. She sings well. She sings beautifully. Everybody likes her. But not me… until today.

I had only heard the songs she had sung in movies like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun etc. Had heard old songs too but couldn’t recognize her voice in them. I used to hate her voice… piercing through my ears…!

While chatting with Khanna, who is a die-hard fan of Lukka Chhuppi from Rang De Basanti these days, I thought why not play the song myself. And I must admit, the old lady has sung it beautifully… the lyrics are great… the music rocks… n her voice touches the heart!!

Rang De Basanti’s music is awesome. That’s all I can say. A.R. Rahman has done a superb job! Should get atleast a “desi” grammy for it.

2. Pyaar Karke Pachtaya : Tauba main pyaar karke pachtaya… Phat track! The remix is bloody shitty. No one could’ve sung it better than Labh Janjua although Daler Mehndi could still do a good job too. Peppy music, cool lyrics. . . This is definitely the song of the season!! And yeah, I read somewhere that the lyrics are copied from Alam Lohar’s [...]...
3. Tere Bin… : The best song Atif Aslam has sung till date. I heard his version of Aadat in Kalyug and it was pathetic. But this song is just too good. I can listen to it a hundred times and even the lyrics make sense. ...
4. GMD… : Well I just heard this awesome track. Excellent vocals, hilarious lyrics and catchy music. Now this isn’t for the one’s who hate the desi abuses and prefer the F word. Gaand Mein Danda or GMD has been sung by the band bodhiTree. The members of the band are students of XLRI Jamshedpur. See… even intelligent people [...]...
5. I h8 Linkin Park! : Well the title can be a lil’ misleading. I don’t exactly hate Linkin Park. I have very little information regarding the band.
