In the afternoon, Arjun called up and enquired about my plans for the holidays. I told him that I had none and would do and go wherever the other wish to.
We thought about paragliding, going to Morni, Kasauli etc but conveyance was a problem. So finally i told him that why don’t we explore the araes surrounding Chandigarh on our bicycles. He agreed. The plan was to go to Saketri or the Open Hand Monument on our cycles. I asked him to meet me in front of the Lake Club. Just then Abhit came online. I asked him if he too wished to accompany us. He said yes but was not willing to cycle down from sector 38. I just told him to reach my place on his Karizma and we would decide everything else later.
Abhit arrived. I took my cycle and both of us started walking towards the lake slowly. Arjun was already there waiting for us. We were late by 30 minutes and were a little tired from the walking. We decided to stroll on the lake for a while and simply chat. Now this is where I spoke. I so wish I hadn’t. I couldn’t keep my big mouth shut and came up with a brilliant idea. I told them that we would walk to the end of the lake and catch up with things. Arjun was game. Abhit was not much interested but he gave in to our demands.
So we started walking and talking. Just stopped somewhere around 1500m. Abhit wanted to go back from there but Arjun insisted that we move further. We kept on moving. Finally we reached our destination. Now when we looked back at starting point of the lake, we realised that we were too fucking far!!! We didn’t have any energy left to walk back. We started our return journey – talking, shouting, laughing loudly, looking at girls (exclude Arjun here). Saw Tarannum’s parents.
So we finally returned to our bikes. Now it was decided that we would go to the Chat Wala in Sector 8 and after that to Govind Sweets in sector 7. But God had something else in store for us. Arjun’s cycle had a flat!! So we had to fucking walk back again!!! We had some stuff at Sector 7. Then instead of going towards the roundabout in front of the Sector 26 Police Lines we decided to walk towards the next roundabout and return towards Sector 27 from there. By the time we reached that roundabout I was in pain. Abhit looked exhausted too. I gave Arjun my cycle and took his with me. So Arjun went back happily on the cycle while both of us still had to walk our asses back to my house. Now I’m super tired. My legs hurt and so do my feet.
When will I learn to keep my big mouth shut!!!!???
