Yellow… Good Morning !

Yeah, I know. You’re pobably saying, “This guy is a nut. Its Hello, Good Morning”.

But this post is regarding the weather on the 9th of July in Chandigarh. The city received its first Monsoon showers (and hasn’t received good rainfall since).
I woke up around 11 in the morning (actually Dad forced me). Dad asked me (ordered me) to accompany him to the Industrial Area. I put on a shirt and my shorts, grabbed my phone and hopped into the car. Here are some shots I captured on the way. They are not that clear but hey, what more do you want from a mobile phone??!!!!

Here is how Chandigarh looked at 11.04 AM

This is a “pure, untouched” picture. I haven’t applied any effects or filters to it. The sky was orange/yellow with dust all around.

Notice how the sky slowly darkens in a couple of minutes. This shot was captured from within the car.

This photograph is my fav. Its total darkness and all you can see is the silhouette of a tree with the clouds in the background. Awesome for a camera phone!!

The rest of the pictures aren’t that great but since I clicked them, WTF!!

Now after the sky pissed on us, the dust settled. The whole city was washed clean.

I captured this image from a moving car. Came out beautifully. This is the roundabout before the Govt. Press traffic lights on the Madhya Marg (I’m going towards the Lake).

Zoomed in on a mutt in front of the HDFC ATM.

Except for the first pic, all the others were captured from moving vehicles.

CONCLUSION :

  • Chandigarh isn’t called the City Beautiful for nothing!!
  • The N70′s camera is pretty good.
