What Ruskin Bond learnt from his life…

Don’t believe the elders and philosophers. Wisdom does not come with age. It is born with you in the cradle. Either you have it or you don’t.

I still have a very long way to go but I will agree with Ruskin Bond on the above statement. Having seen plenty of “adults” behaving worse than three year olds, I find the above statement completely apt.

Though I do agree with you but I don’t think you can deny the fact that a major population of general people do learn from their experiences.. you know the growing up process. Myself included, ofcourse.
Somethings you know in your heart that you would do or wouldn’t- that’s subconscious, or intuitive wisdom. Others, you make mistakes, you get burned, and you know not to repeat them – thats acquired wisdom ( what you pick up along the way).

    • The thing is that there are some people who believe in the saying “once bitten, twice shy”. Then there are others who don’t! You have to have the acumen to learn from mistakes. That is something that cannot be acquired.

Thank you for your very first comment in three years! :) It is the thousandth comment on my blog. You always have strange ways to make me feel special.

Thats another way of looking at it. Ultimately it all boils down to ~ ‘To each his own’.
And yes, the ‘once bitten, twice shy’ thing applies to me perfectly. :)

I just appear special to you!

  • :) Keep coming back…
